"The Big One" Abseil Experience
Are you up to our The Big One abseiling challenge?
Experience an amazing adrenaline rush and take on a 150 ft abseil down the smooth rock face of Uphill Quarry. With unmissable views of the nature reserve and the 12th Century Chapel at the top of the cliff, there is no better reason to experience life on the edge!

Whether it's to fundraise for a charity, personal challenge, team building exercise or maybe a birthday treat, we welcome you all to take on this exhilarating challenge!

This experience has an instructor to participant ratio of 1:6 with a maximum group size of 12.
​
These experience days are held at Uphill Quarry and are weather dependant*
​
​*In the event of bad weather, participants will be notified of cancellation 72 hours before the experience and will be offered a change of dates.
​
We supply all the necessary safety equipment free of charge when you book with us including:

Helmets (48 - 61cm head)

Harnesses (52 - 104cm waist, 25 - 70cm leg)
​
We will also send you an advisory kit list to make your experience a little more comfortable i.e. warm clothes, waterproofs, etc.​

Q: Is the big one abseil suitable for beginners?
A: Yes. Our the big one abseil sessions are designed for beginners and are led by qualified instructors who manage all safety systems.
Q: Do I need to be very fit?
A: No. A basic level of fitness is enough, though participants must be able to walk to the top of the cliff unaided.
Q: Are all safety equipment and helmets provided?
A: Yes. We provide all technical equipment, including harnesses and helmets.
